Expect to pay a lot of money for your Savannah kitten. If they are being sold for less than your reserch tells you to expect to pay, check, check, check. Check the paperwork, check the conditions and check the breeder. If you don't like what you see, avoid it. Welcome to the website of Teardrops Savannahs. We are a UK cat breeder specialising in exotic cat hybrids, namely the Bengal and Savannah. These are the descendants of wildcats crossed with a domestic cat. In the case of the Bengal the Asian Leopard Cat is the wild ancestor. With the Savannah it is the magnificent African Serval.

'Teardrops' is a registered prefix with The International Cat Association (TICA). We believe in producing high quality, good looking, well socialised kittens that follow, as closely as possible, the standards set for that breed. We will be breeding brown, silver, smoke, black and white spotted and marbled Savannah kittens. Our kittens will come to you as loving companions that will reman dear to your heart for the rest of your life. As breeders of exotic hybrid cats we adhere to TICA's voluntary code of ethics. We believe in nurturing a strong bond between cat and owner and we advocate keeping your cat indoors. Cats are absolutely able to adapt to a life indoors given enough stimulation (in the form of cat trees and toys) and do not need be given free rein to roam and perhaps find themselves injured or worse. The 'free rein' idea is an old Victorian idea, relegating our domestic cats to the levels of rodent hunters, rather than dear and cherished friends. Savannahs have a loyal dog like personality and make wonderful indoor companions.

Teardrops Savannahs will be importing cats that are just two generations removed from the African Serval - that is, the cats have a Serval as a grandparent. These cats are known as F2 cats. F stands for Filial (of sons) and the number indicates how many generations removed the cat is from the wild ancestor. We are the only breeder in the UK to import F2, F3 and F4 cats from A1Savannahs in Oklahoma USA.

Since 17th December 2007 we have been in partnership with A1 Savannahs as their sole importer for their cats in the UK. We wil be bringing some of the very best of their early generation cats into the country to be able to provide early generation cats to breeders and discerning pet owners throughout the UK, parts of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Asia - including Japan.

We are located in the south of the UK - in Corfe Mullen - which is a village between Poole and Wimborne in Dorset, England. We are near the counties of Wiltshire and Hampshire and near the beautiul New Forest.
